(NEW YORK) Want to chit-chat with Prabal Gurung? Talk Japanese horror films with Kate and Laura Mulleavy? Compare menswear notes with Thom Browne? Look no further than FIT this spring; the fashion school will host these designers and more as part of its Fashion Culture special programs for Spring 2010. On Monday, March 22, the Browne will make his debut in a conversation with Fred Dennis, Gurung will follow on April 12. Rodarte’s Mulleavy sisters will have a conversation with Valerie Steele, the director and chief curator of The Museum at the Fashion Institute of Technology, on May 4, while Vogue’s André Leon Talley will sit down with Steele on May 6.

The school will offer more than just fashion conversations. Lectures and book signings scheduled for spring include Resort Fashion by Caroline Rennolds Milbank on February 22, Pucci Collaborations with Ralph Pucci and Diego Uchitel on March 2, and Queen of Fashion: What Marie Antoinette Wore to the Revolution by Caroline Weber on April 19. All programs are free and open to the public, although reservations are required. To register, email museuminfo@fitnyc.edu or call (212) 217-4585.
