(PARIS) Giamba, Giamba, Giamba! As Mongoliam lamb-trimmed coats and sci-fi sounds dominated the basement of a raw space at 7, Place Vendome during the Moncler Gamme Rouge presentation, The Daily caught up with the affable Giambattista Valli between long and involved segments with an adoring coterie of the Italian press corps.
ASHLEY BAKER

You showed ready-to-wear upstairs yesterday, and now you've turned the basement into a Moncler wonderland!
We already built the runway for yesterday, but it wasn't so quick. I spent the entire night here! It was kind of fun.
Do you often spend the night in the Place Vendome?
There are a lot of cool places here, like the Ritz...
No, I prefer to spend the night in my bed.
What else have you been up to?
I think there's a weekend coming up. I love to research and enrich myself and go to design galleries. Watching movies in my house, you know.
You have some American friends here today!
Yes, Brooke [Shields] is here. She's an amazing friend.
How did you meet?
A really long time ago in Los Angeles. We were actually talking about it at dinner last night--you know, she's not even like she's a diva. She's an icon. Because she doesn't act like one. I told her, for me, it's like Michael Jackson, Mickey Mouse, and you.
Are you a fan of sci-fi movies?
I wanted this to feel like a George Lucas kind of area. He's my favorite.
